Company description::
The New York Public Internet Foundation (NYPIF) is a new nonprofit entity that is dedicated to providing free public internet access and training in low income areas, homeless shelters and other commuity centers.
NYPIF has been successfully launched, and has begun receiving generous equipment donations, and volunteers.
Our first series of projects is being performed in conjunction with Homes for the Homeless, an established nonprofit group in New York City.
Erik Aronesty, chairman of the NYPIF said, "We see the Internet as an excellent source of inspiration and empowerment that is out of reach for many people seeking jobs, education and new opportunities."
NYPIF has concrete plans, equipment and funding for 3 out of it's 6 approved installation locations in New York boroughs. Initial donations and funding have come from Triad Securities, Orion Consultants and personal contributions from board members.
We are actively seeking to broaden our network of collaborators, beneficiaries, equipment donors, volunteers, and fresh new ideas.
